Lamborghini unveiled the 2017 Centenario Roadster

2017 Lamborghini Centenario roadster has made its public debut at Monterey Car Week, but is already sold out.

2017 Lamborghini Centenario roadster has a 6.5-litre V12 situated behind the passenger cell. Developing 566kW of power and with the rev limiter set to 8600rpm, the engine is connected to all four wheels via a seven-speed semi-automatic independent shifting rod transmission.

2017 Lamborghini Centenario roadster features carbon-fibre body panels and a carbon-fibre monocoque. Dry weight is claimed to be 1570 kilograms – 50kg more than the Centenario coupe – which was unveiled at this year’s Geneva motor show.

Lamborghini Centenario roadster is capable of sprinting from 0-100km/h in 2.9 seconds and hitting a top speed in excess of 350km/h. That’s 0.1 of a second slower than the fixed-roof version.

Just 20 Lamborghini Centenario roadsters will be built. Despite a starting price of 2 million euros ($2.9 million) before tax, the entire production run is spoken for already.

The company is also making 20 Centenario coupes, priced from 1.75 million euros ($2.6 million). These too are also sold out.
