McLaren P1 Prost 2015: Goodwood Festival of Speed
McLaren has decided to pay tribute to iconic racecar driver Alain Prost by preparing a special P1.
It was developed by McLaren Special Operations (MSO) and draws its inspiration from the French livery of the helmet that four-time F1 champion Prost worn back in the day. The carbon fiber body has been color-matched with the legendary design so the supercar gets a white with blue graphics and red highlights.
There aren’t any mechanical upgrades so the P1 comes with the same 916 hp hybrid power provided by a 737 hp 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine working together with a 179 hp electric motor. It hits 100 km/h from a standstill in just 3 seconds and will do 0-200 km/h in as little as 7 seconds before topping out at an electronically-capped 350 km/h.
The McLaren P1 Prost will be showcased this weekend at the Goodwood Festival of Speed alongside the McLaren F1 GT, 675 Long Tail and the 650S Spider.
