Honda has decided to release a street-legal version of the RC213V that won the 2013 and 2014 MotoGP championships. A few changes have been made to the bike’s specs, but Honda worked hard to keep it as close as possible to the original bike. You’ll be able to buy it for a cool $184,000.

There’s an optional sports kit that will let it hit racing speeds for those who want to take the motorcycle out on a closed course. It truly is the best of both worlds allowing the chance to take it out on a circuit and drive on the open road.

The biggest changes are the switch from a pneumatic valve to a coil spring system and a conventional system instead of the original seamless transmission.

The camshaft gear structure is the same and so is the engine. It has a liquid-cooled 4-stroke, DOHC 4-valve V4 but it’s been tuned down from 235 horsepower to 157 horsepower.

They also had to add a few bits that aren’t necessary for a racing bike. There’s a headlight, taillight, license plate lamps and holders, turn signals, and rearview mirrors to make it safe at night and in traffic.

Also, a speedometer was added as was a muffler with a catalyst, horn, Honda Smart Key, self starter and side stand. Orders will open on July 13. Fortunately that’s a Monday and not a Friday.
