The HR-V will make its North American debut at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show. It slots between the 2015 Honda Fit and the larger Honda CR-V crossover.
Specific launch timing and pricing were not announced.
Honda hasn’t announced MSRP and specifications for 2015 Honda HR-V. However, we know that HR-V must base price at or under CR-V's $22,900 to be competitive in the segment. Also, based on the made in Mexico world-Honda Fit platform, HR-V shares identical wheelbase, track and impact cage dimensions with Fit. This translates to near-effortless city transition and parking capabilities.
The HR-V will feature the Fit's interior flexibility. It will be equipped with the Honda "Magic Seat," which has multiple seating configurations and the ability to fold the second-row seat completely flat for more cargo space.

The HR-V is expected to share the Fit's 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, rated at 130 horsepower and matched to a continuously variable transmission. A hybrid version for the U.S. is under consideration.
Key competitors to the HR-V include the Nissan Juke, Subaru XV Crosstrek and Mazda CX-5.
