In 2015, the Murano will redefine the crossover once more.
At the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, Nissan revealed a radically stylish crossover called the Resonance Concept. The head-turning vehicle was not only hailed as the next-generation Murano, but as the future of the crossover itself. Less than two years later, the vehicle that created so much buzz in Detroit has become the 2015 Murano. The concept has become reality.
Fuel efficiency has been increased by roughly 20%, while every ounce of power has been retained. How did we do it? We extended wind-tunnel testing and analysis to give it an aerodynamic profile that cuts down on wind resistance.
Nissan also dropped the overall weight by more than 130 pounds, gave it a next-gen CVT to optimize power from the legendary 260 horsepower 3.5-liter V6, and put it on a set of low rolling resistance tires.
The Intuitive AWD system turns on every time you pull away from a stop. It automatically delivers just the right amount of power to the front and rear wheels, improving traction from the get-go. It also reacts to changing needs and changing conditions, recognizing the difference between cruising and cornering, and even wet and dry roads.
