The new edition of the sportiest coupe in the premium compact segment will be launched onto the market in July 2017. More than 140,000 units of the BMW 2 Series Coupe and BMW 2 Series Convertible have been sold since 2014. The largest markets are the USA, Great Britain and Germany.
New front-end looks with broader air intakes and more prominent kidney grille accentuates the cars’ sporty yet elegant appearance, as does the design of the lights (including standard bi-LED main headlights and LED rear lights). The main headlights can also be specified in adaptive full-LED form as an option, their eye-catching light graphic strengthening the dynamic and technical impression created by the front end.
The familiar twin-circular-headlight look has a hexagonal interpretation, giving it an even more precise and modern appearance
Three new exterior colours – Sunset Orange, Seaside Blue and Mediterranean Blue – strengthen the presence of the BMW 2 Series Coupe and BMW 2 Series Convertible. Four new light-alloy wheel designs (17-inch and 18-inch) increase the scope for individualisation.
Completely newly designed instrument panel with enhanced driver focus provides a more generous feeling of space. Exclusive materials and new seat covers in cloth and leather lend further class to the interior.
Wide range of powerful and efficient engines includes three-, four- and six-cylinder petrol units and cutting-edge four-cylinder diesel variants. Output of the BMW 2 Series Coupe and BMW 2 Series Convertible ranges from 100 kW/136 hp in the BMW 218i up to 250 kW/340 hp in the BMW M240i (fuel consumption combined: 8.3 – 3.8 l/100 km [34.0 – 74.3 mpg imp]; CO2 emissions combined: 189 – 101 g/km).
