2015 Ford Mustang GT Apollo Edition

The latest incarnation is arguably the best, paying tribute to America's greatest space program... and with 627-horsepower to boot.

What began as a 2015 Mustang GT Fastback gets a complete visual overhaul, not to mention under the hood as well. It's hard not to picture Neil Armstrong's iconic moon walk when gazing at the "United States" graphic adorning the hood of the 'Stang.

White and black paint with red accents were used to echo the styling of the famous Saturn V rocket, that carried all 18 Apollo missions on their various quests for greatness.

Under the hood, the Mustang's 5.0-liter Coyote V-8 receives a supercharger and a boost of over 200-horsepower from standard, as well as performance shocks, struts, Brembo brakes, side exit exhausts, and 21-inch Forgiato wheels.

The Apollo Edition is one of a kind, unfortunately, so unless you can pony up quite a bit of coin, it likely won't be in your driveway any time soon.
Unfortunately, if you were looking to add one of these to your garage (or space hangar), you're out of luck unless you're willing to pay, as the Apollo Edition is one of a kind, along with the seven other special editions that Ford has developed. There will be an auction for this unique pony, but something so significant (and powerful) won't come cheap.

With some power increases and a couple of wings, you could be looking at America's next space craft!
One-of-a-kind or not, we're glad the Apollo Edition is here to stay. That's one small step for man, one giant leap for space-themed muscle cars!
