On the 435i Coupe, the ZHP option starts with an M Performance kit with an ECU tune and different engine air intake to boost the 3.0-liter six-cylinder mill's output by 35hp to 335hp and 332 lb-ft (8sp automatic, 32 ft/lb gain) or 317 lb-ft (6sp manual transmission, 17 ft/lb gain). And if you're wondering, that's more power than the new 340i's updated six with 320hp and 330 lb-ft, which will eventually make its way on the 4-Series models.

There's also a new stainless-steel M performance Exhaust that sheds 8.8 pounds of weight (4 kg) while also reducing backpressure for improved dynamic performance, and which BMW says, produces "a burble sound during engine overrun conditions" that is "amplified even further in Sport mode" – we're not sure if that's done mechanically or electronically through a fake sound generator.

Completing the performance enhancements is the Track Handling Package that adds bespoke 18-inch wheels, M Sport brakes with 4 piston fixed front and 2 piston fixed rear calipers, Adaptive M Suspension with variable damper technology and Variable Sport Steering.
On the cosmetic front and besides the M Sport aerodynamic package with the specific bumpers, sport seats and steering wheel, gloss black exterior trims and Aluminum-like interior accents, the ZHP adds some goodies from the M Performance department.
These include black kidney grilles, carbon fiber front splitter and rear spoiler, a different rear diffuser (oddly, the car's rear is not shown in the press pics), replacement engine cover and M rocker panel decals.
The 435i ZHP Edition will be available with an 8-speed automatic or a 6-speed manual and a choice of two exterior colors, Alpine White or Black Sapphire Metallic.
