Hyundai Reveals Funky Enduro Crossover Concept

Hyundai’s world debut at the Seoul Motor Show is the Enduro concept, a three-door crossover utility vehicle which features design elements inspired from the world of motorcycle enduro racing.

Hyundai Enduro Concept 

Aimed at “individuals living in the modern city with energetic, athletic lifestyles,” the Hyundai Enduro’s size ranks it in the C-segment, as it’s 4,271mm long, 1,852mm wide and 1,443mm tall, with a 2,650 mm wheelbase.

The study features a new interpretation of the brand’s signature hexagonal front grille, which is now placed lower and is connected to the front fender by aluminum aero blades.

Hyundai Enduro Concept 

Looking quite similar to the Intrado concept unveiled last year, the Enduro has a rugged appearance thanks to its raised ground clearance, SUV-style fender cladding and the dark grey garnish to the lower parts of the car. Interesting details include the aerodynamic air-blades placed on the C-pillars to reduce drag, as well as the step bars incorporated in the side skirts that allow for easier loading and unloading of the roof rack.

The rear of the car is dominated by the taillamps which surround the tailgate window, as well as the massive bumper, which features drawer-style compartments that can accommodate a lifestyle sports equipment. 

No photos of the interior were released so far, but Hyundai says the cabin features an organic design and is focused on the driver’s seat. The instrument cluster facing the driver concentrates all information in an integrated display. The steering wheel design features the spoke and handle molding of a road bike, while the door handles have a lightweight cowl image of an off-road bike. 

High-tech features include the side- and rear-view cameras which replace the conventional door mirrors. Power comes from a 2.0-liter T-GDI turbocharged gasoline engine mated to a 7-DCT 7-speed dual clutch transmission.
