‘Serenity’ is headed for the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, but sorry, Joss Whedon fans: your favorite space pirates are still on the shelf.

No, the Serenity in question here is a “super-luxury motor car” from Rolls-Royce, which is essentially a one-off Phantom with a focus on opulent interior design.

Rolls-Royce calls the car a celebration of “the historical role played by silk as a symbol of regal and imperial power,” so you know the brand isn’t messing around when it comes to refinement.

Taking inspiration from royal caravans throughout history, Serenity will combine the classic styling of European furniture with traditional Japanese Kimono designs, so you can expect lots of smoky wood trim, woven silk upholstery, and a striking cherry blossom design on the headliner.

It sounds very shiny, but save for the teaser photo above, there are no pictures of the vehicle yet. The standard Phantom’s interior (shown below) is nothing to shake a stick at though, so this “benchmark in super-luxury motor cars” is sure to cause many oohs and aahs when it debuts in Geneva.

“Delivering authentic modern luxury, Serenity will reintroduce the finest of textiles to create the most opulent interior of any luxury car,” the automaker says. “This unique design demonstrates the levels of craftsmanship, creativity and attention to detail only Rolls-Royce Motor Cars can offer.”

“The marque’s Bespoke Design team has taken inspiration from the opulent interiors of Rolls-Royces that have conveyed Kings and Queens, Emperors and Empresses and world leaders throughout history.”
