Toyota Hilux 2015 Invincible X 3.0-liter 171 HP

There’s no doubt that severe weather conditions require special measures and added equipment, no matter the continent you find yourself on. That’s exactly what Toyota wants to exploit with the latest Hilux version.

Behold the Invincible X, a “top-of-the-range model that retains all the go-anywhere qualities that give Hilux its unbreakable reputation”. Well, at least that’s what Toyota has to say, because this almost pimped-up Hilux is all about creating your own personalized pick-up.

Let’s start with equipment features. Here, the list includes sports front seats, climate control, cruise control, dusk-sensing headlights, curtain airbags plus a whole lot of goodies and gadgets like a rear privacy glass, headlamp cleaners, a rear-view camera and the Toyota Touch 2 touchscreen-controlled multimedia system, plus Bluetooth.

On the visual side, clients can get one of the four 17-inch alloy wheel designs, including the new Rica five-spoke rims. In case you’re the bling-bling type, Toyota can fix that for you with a rear hi-over bar or if your needs are above that, ask for the Style Pack. The latter offers a front guard, silver-colored under-run, aluminum-finish scuff plates and a lot of chrome on the door handles, hood air intake, tubular side bars and fog lamps.

In addition, the leather seat upholstery comes in four color, ranging from the standard Invincible black to grey, saddle tan or deep red. It is also useful to know that the Hilux Invincible X is available only in Double Cab guise, while the muscle department is filled in by Toyota’s 3.0-liter D-4D diesel engine developing 171 HP, mated to either a five-speed manual or automatic transmission.
