Mercedes-AMG GT S to start at $129,900 |
No mention if that includes the destination and delivery charge, but we imagine that will be extra. The MSRP, however, does include Nappa leather, collision prevention, keyless entry and starting, and a Burmester sound system.
Once destination and delivery are added, the GT S’s base price will very nearly match the 475-hp Porsche 911 GT3’s $131,395 sticker—coincidence? hmmm—while being way cheaper than the 525-hp Audi R8 V-10 Coupe’s $155,450 sticker.
On the other hand, it is considerably higher than the 550-hp Jaguar F-Type R, which may not carry the prestige of the three-pointed star but seems like a damn bargain now at just $99,925. Plus there’s the options, which are likely to carry the new AMG to $150K or more.
