Dartz Prombron Black Shark 1,500 HP SUV

Official: 1500hp Dartz Prombron Black Shark

There must be something in the water in Latvia, as evidenced by the Dartz Prombron Black Shark. This Mercedes-Benz GL-Class-based SUV is something to behold. The Latvian-based Dartz has named this version of the Prombron Black Shark after a Russian helicopter, and it looks like the ultimate apocalypse survival machine.

Powered by either a Mercedes V8 or V12, the Black Shark’s engine badging will also say “V2”—shorthand for the truck’s two standard-issue Vertu “luxury” smartphones.

What does a luxury smartphone do? Well it gives you access to certain apps, among them one that lets you book a private jet with ease. Another provides you with access to a personal assistant no matter what time it is or where you are.

The truck has bulletproofing, windows that can go opaque, retractable door handles, a shock device to keep intruders at bay, a Kevlar and titanium body, and a security system that uses fingerprint and retina scanning. Fittingly, that system is named Golden Eye, in an apparent reference to the James Bond film/videogame.

There’s another security system called Vigiton which can be used by owners who hire chauffeurs. This system makes sure the driver is alert and vigilant at all times. And finally, you can also order a roof that wards off sniper rounds, a system that scans for explosives in the road, and a communication-jamming system, if you’re sufficiently paranoid.

Only five of these vehicles will be made, and we bet warlords are already fighting over them. Can Dartz get one to Rick and the gang from The Walking Dead while they’re at it?
