This full profile image was revealed at the company’s headquarters in California and it shows off car’s lowered body, more aggressive stance, and aerodynamic enhancements like side skirts, a rear spoiler, and aprons. It looks great, but what everyone wants to know is just how much power they coaxed from the engine. The factory version of the 2015 Mustang V8 model has 435 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque and Saleen managed to bump up that number quite a bit.
The full specs include a naturally aspirated engine that will get a little boost up to 450 hp and 410 lb-ft, but the supercharger numbers are a huge jump. We’re talking 640 hp and 565 lb-ft of torque for a veritable beast of a car. The buyer can also choose from different final-drive rations and either a six-speed manual or automatic regardless of the engine choice.
Additional choices include either a coupe or convertible and three trim levels of White Label, Yellow Label, and Black Label with only the White Label coming with the naturally aspirated engine. Yellow Label is pretty much the same as the White Label in terms of features, but adds the supercharged engine.
The top of the line Black Label gets all the goodies with a center induction hood, side skirts, a new rear fascia integrated with the exhaust, suspension upgrades, illuminated sill plates, leather and Alcantara seats, and lots of color choices. You can reserve the S302 of your choice for a deposit of $2,015.
