That’s right, 6C. The Alfa Romeo 4C has only just arrived on US shores, but Fiat already has plans for an Alfa Romeo 6C which could arrive for the 2017 model year. It will be based on the Maserati Alfieri and will likely give the Jaguar F-Type and Porsche 911 some fresh competition.
The new front-engined rear-wheel drive coupe will have tear-drop shaped side glass like the Alfieri but with a more striking presence up front. The bold Alfa grille will be flanked by narrow LED headlights while the rear gets exhausts and taillights set to the far edges to enhance its wide haunches.
Power will come from a specially-tuned version of the Maserati Ghibili’s 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 which provides between 480bhp and 520bhp in the Giulia Quadrifoglio Verde. There’s no official word on just want kind of horsepower the 6C will get, but it will likely be in the same range.
This won’t be a car you’ll see often on the road, since it will be a limited production run. The 4C got only 3, 500 units and the 8C just 500 so the 6C will probably get a production number somewhere in between those two.
If all goes as planned, expect to see the Alfa Romeo 6C sometime in 2017.
