Leave boredom at the lights
Twingo R.S. made its world premiere at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. In addition to its dynamic grille incorporating four lights, the car features an F1-type splitter in the front bumper. This design touch, which can now be found across the Renault Sport range, is a tribute to Renault’s success in Formula 1. The rear wheel arches, including air vents that reinforce the car’s sporty character, house a distinctive new 16-inch Renault Sport wheel design. Customers can personalize the exterior with a grey design pack which sees the F1 splitter, door mirror housings and R.S. spoiler all picked out in anthracite.
Twingo R.S. ships with a 1.6l 16v (98 kW) engine developing 133 hp at 6,750 rpm and with 160 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm. Two chassis – Sport and Cup – are available. The first offering is an excellent compromise for day to day motoring, while the second (optional) is aimed at buyers looking for thrills with enhanced driving pleasure (specially tuned shock absorbers and spring stiffness increased by 10%).
Also available with the Gordini label
Twingo Gordini R.S. boasts immediately recognizable styling, with 17-inch diamond effect black wheels, leather upholstery and climate control. Inimitably sporty and chic with its two stripes, Twingo Gordini R.S. is now available with a new grey interior ambience, alongside the existing blue, for all exterior body colours: Malta Blue, Glacier White, Pearlescent Black or Vif Red. New Twingo Gordini R.S. adds a touch of sophistication to the appeal of Renault Sport.
