Avalanche is a pickup truck that was offered by Chevrolet from the 2002–2012 model years, and in 2013, as the Black Diamond Avalanche. With its split-folding rear bench seat down and the Midgate® lowered, Avalanche offered the capability of a full-size pickup truck with the comfortable interior of an upscale SUV.
