Opel Adam 2013

The Opel Adam is an upcoming city car from the German automaker Opel, named after the company's founder Adam Opel. The Adam will be sold as the Vauxhall Adam in the United Kingdom. It will be launched at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, with sales starting in early 2013.

The Adam production will begin at the Eisenach plant in Germany in late 2012.

From 2014, the Adam will use a new family of direct-injected small displacement engines codeveloped by Opel and SAIC Motor


 Its origins date to the early years of the Chinese automobile industry in the 1940s, and SAIC was one of the few carmakers in Mao's China, making the Shanghai SH760. Currently, it participates in the oldest surviving Sino-foreign car making joint venture, with Volkswagen, and has also had a joint venture with General Motors since 1998

 The Adam is based on a shortened next generation Corsa E platform
Rivals will include the MINI and Volkswagen Up, but in particular the Fiat 500

2013 Opel Adam available in three gasoline engine choice that is 1200 cc with power of 70 horsepower, 1400 cc with power of 87 horsepower and 1400 cc with power of 100 horsepower. The engine that offered has very good performance and also more efficient because equipped with turbocharging and direct injection and supported with five speed manual transmissions. ecoFLEX technology and fuel saving start/stop technology also installed to get more fuel efficient
